3.11-11.20
We’ve just completed our series of live at Sendai, an area that has been struck by the Mar 11 earthquake.
I have to say that after this experience, I am reassured by the power of music, as well as fundamental power of human being.
The last thing my band members and I wanted to do was to utter words like “Ganbatte” (which means “All the best!” in English) to the people there, because it may only sound superficial, especially when we say it, as we remained safe in Tokyo.
But whatever the circumstance, we ought to deliver our music to you.
During the concert, I’ve had a chance to speak to one of the audience who has lost his/her younger brother.
I just couldn’t find any words to say.
But after the concert, she emailed me and said “I’ve really enjoyed myself today, and it was so great to see that the kids were enjoying themselves too, clapping their hands to your music. I’m writing to you to say that I too, want to thank you for this wonderful moment. Thank you so much for today!”
At this point in time, I really don’t know what I should say, or what is the “right” thing to do. But one thing that I can be sure of, is that I’ll deliver my music to you, and our tunes will play wherever we go.
♪ It’s a Beautiful World
“Fruitless yesterdays and uncertain todays will bring us to our tomorrows.
Whenever and wherever, this is what we keep praying to the starry skies:
Let’s head to the paradise, waving a flag of hope.
I’ll scream out aloud that things are not as bad as you think.
There will be a Beautiful World, an abundant Beautiful World”
I will never forget the moment when our mates in Sendai started tearing when we played this song.
They nodded to the lyrics, and I could feel that this song has deeply resonated with them.
We’re reaching to the climax of Autumn Tour 2011.
We are dedicated to bring you our fantastic music, whatever the form may be.

Day by day
Autumn Tour 2011
